| How safe is it to give out credit card info when paying over the internet? I've actually never done that before, and now that I've got an internet account opened, I'm not sure how to handle it. Some sites ask for an extra number in addition to the long one, a three-letter security code, should I give it to them? Also, the bank said I can call and have the card number locked down after a purchase, should I do this every time? |

| Making credit card payments over the internet is just about as safe as making credit card payments in real life is – safe enough if you use common sense. That is to say, make sure you give your data on approved sites only, and not at a place that seems to be a scam of some sort. Of course, on the web you have the added option of using a third party paying system… |
