| I am thinking about overclocking my card - 8600 GT and Asus board. I never really did something similar, and I do not know if this is a smart idea or isn’t. What do you think about overclocking. I think it has some advantages, but I am kind of afraid it will affect its lifespan. Do you have some experience, any info you would like to share |

| I think that you should not worry about lifespan of your devices that much. If you are that into increasing the speed of your PC I think you won’t wait until your devices crash, but you will switch to some other ones. So, I do not think that overclocking is a bad idea. It is just important to have an adequate cooling, that is all. And, of course, you have to be very careful in order not to burn or damage something in the process of overclocking. I have done it just once, overclocked my graphic card, and it functioned perfectly. So, just go for it! |
