Office XP or 2000?

I need your advice. Do you think that I should install MS Office XP or 2000? I have Windows XP and I want the software that is not going to slow my PC down and I’ve heard that MS Office XP is very demanding and that it can take up too much CPU. What are your experiences with it? I have 512 MB of memory.

Oh, come on! It’s not so demanding and I think that you should install MS Office XP. I’ve never used 2000 but I don’t like those midway solutions such as Windows 2000 is. It was released only to update certain features from Windows 98 while XP was expected. And I think that you should pick XP version. Besides, it won’t take up your CPU to the extent that your PC will be slowed down. I don’t know why people think that Office is so demanding and why they’re complaining about how Word and Excel are too slow. Those programs are basic and there’s no way they can throttle their PCs. And 512 MB is quite enough unless you intend to use Vista.
