Lost month I bought external hard drive, which I want to use as removable disk. It worked just fine until yesterday. Since yesterday, I have been experiencing strange problem. When I want to shut down my hard, I always get some kind of a weird sound coming from it. Do I need some new drivers for my ext. HDD?

If I get it right, until yesterday you did not experience problem with shutting down your hard drive. If that is true, then you should check what you do on your machine yesterday. I don't think that new drivers will help you, but you can always find them on the HDD manufacturer site. Your problem could be caused by many different reasons. First, you could install some new driver or software that could cause your problem with disconnecting the hard drive. Second, maybe your hard has just some temporary problem. Then you should try to format it again. You also may have some virus or adware that cause your problem. Because of that, you should do a complete check of your machine. If nothing of this helps you, you must search professional help. Weird sounds could mean that your HDD has some serious problem.
