| Hello there. I have a problem with my Maxtor HDD. I tried to format it, but when formatting process was finished, it suddenly shows up as not formatted. I thought I was doing everything right, since this process is not that difficult as it may seem. What could be wrong with it? Was I doing something wrong? Many thanks for your help |

| Hi. I really do not understand how that could happen. I mean, the process of formatting hard disk drive is really simple, and I really do not know how it could go wrong. I think that it may be possible that it was somehow protected, or maybe even damaged in some way. I would recommend you to visit Maxtor website and download some tools for inspecting your hardware, and check if everything is OK with it. If there is some problem, I would contact a professional, and see if it can be repaired or not. Really weird problem, I have never seen any of this kind. |
