This is strange!! I have Matshita DVD- ram UJ-850S that suddenly decided to stop functioning and I have no idea why?! It disappeared from my PC just like that, not registering the driver anymore. As you can see I am having thePC that is not a triangle missing area and my name is not David Copperfield so people imagine my surprise, heh. So what should I do with this missing case?

Ah that Matshita DVD-ram UJ850S is really a trouble maker. I heard people having problem playing DVDs in general now reached the vanishing point. Could you tell me what PC you have and specs. Have you checked it can be recognized and registered through the control panel / add hardware option? Any warnings in device manager? You could maybe update your driver as possible option that could fix your problem, but not the certain one.
