Hello. I have some weak machine at my home. It is networked with the stronger PC which is some kind of server. Anyway, I want to pt some little more powerful image editing software on it, because it just can’t handle with the Adobe Photoshop. I don’t want to spend any money to upgrade the machine because I think it is not worth of it. IS Jasc Paint shop what I am looking for? Is it going to work nice with 256 mb of ram? Thanks in advance.
Hello. Well, Jasc Paint shop is a very good rival for Adobe Products if you ask me. As any other Corel application it requires quite less resources than any other Adobe product. When we speak of that, Adobe Photoshop version 7 works great with only 256 mb of ram. And Jasc can do almost anything you want with a single .bmp. It all depends what are you trying to correct and to make with the Jasc. Try some older version of Jasc.
