| I’m not sure but I also thing that when you have a router you’re actually behind a big firewall. Nevertheless I think that you should have your firewall installed, because that firewall doesn’t filter bad sites as far as I know, because you can have access to whatever content on the Internet you want, right? That’s why I think you need protection regardless of that central firewall. You don’t have use any other firewall than that integrated within Windows XP. Just regularly download new patches, and you’re safe. I would also recommend you to install anti-virus software, if you already haven’t. So, it’s better to open ports on your firewall, than to risk infecting your PC with harmful viruses. |
