Hello. I have XP Pro with firewire adapter installed, integrated actually. Last time I tried to connect the Firewire digital converter adapter to the onboard port, my system didn’t recognized the device and there was new hardware found, than please wait while windows installs the device, and after that goes: the device cannot start! Error code 10 and stop. What is going on with my system?

You seem very disturbed. Don’t be, because there is probably some soft of conflict with your firewire and network card. And there is little more advanced workout for that. Not very fast operation. Try to remove drivers from device manager, after you have removed them previously from the control panel>add or remove programs. Then install them back again.
