How can I fix this? I have a Maxtor 80 GB Primary master and a Pioneer DVDRW as a Secondary master. I added new WD 250GB HDD as a primary slave. The speed is not normal on this hard disk, even though its specs are better than the Maxtor’s. I know that I connected it good and must keep it this way. What else could be a problem?

Your hard disk might be corrupt, but I doubt that is true. Also why would you not consider switching the WD’s and Pioneer’s place? Putting a Pioneer as a primary slave and a WD as a Sec master? The fact is that you will most likely use your new HDD more often than a DVDRW.
