How long BitDefender need to update for the first time?

Hello. I have installed BItdefender, the latest trial edition. I have heard that this piece of software is just among the best possible we can find for protection. I wonder how much time shall I need to update this for the first time over dial-up, that’s all. The update starts, I can see there is something going on for good in the background, but I have no status or progress percentage shown… Like everything stops on the first attempt. Thanks in advance.

Well, here is what I know according to my internet connection. I am working over adsl broadband speed, 512k per second which is equal to 55 kilobytes. And as I can remember, the first update was around 22 megabytes of data for all Bitdefender modules. I have spent no more than 10 minutes. It seems that you are not lucky one this time.
