How easy is Dreamweaver to get into?

How easy is Dreamweaver to get into? I’d like to learn how to make my own home page and I have heard that this software is great for making web pages and I’d like to try using it while I’m learning. What are your experiences with this program? Is it complicated or user friendly? I also don’t know whether it is for professional users or amateurs can also use it.

I’d suggest you to hold your horses a bit! It is great that you are so interested into learning new things and want to learn as much as possible but I think that you should first learn how to create a web page and then choose a particular program you are going to use. I think that you will find Dreamweaver a bit complicated since you are only a beginner and I think that in that case this fact may put you off of learning because you would be disappointed. That’s why I suggest you to take a step by step. That is the best way to learn something thoroughly. After that Dreamweaver will not be a problem and you will be able to use it properly.
