I do not know what to do. I have been working on project for several hours and then my computer rebooted. I know you will say that I should save files often and that was my exact thought and I was completely mad at myself. But, then I was presented with even greater problem. Computer refused to boot up. It says that there is no bootable device. I assume that hard drive is fried and that all my data have gone to hell. It is a lot of work and I would be very grateful if you explain me how to recover them. I promise I will back up my data on daily basis if I succeed in retrieving it.

You are completely right when you say you should back up your data more often. Now we have a problem that has a chance to be solved but I can not guarantee you that all your data will be recovered. First you will need working hard drive on which you will install Windows. After that plug in your broken drive in computer and boot up your system. Then find some data recovery software like EasyRecovery or GetDataBack. They are fairly intuitive so you will be able to figure out how to use them. When you start recovery process cross your fingers and wait to see what files will be recovered. There is a good chance if your hard drive has no mechanic malfunction that most of your data will be recovered.
