I got a brand new Dell computer at my workplace last month. They also installed me a DSL connection. A friend installed me a Torrent software. He told me that it is great for downloading movies from the net in spare time. It worked great until yesterday. Now, whenever I start my computer HDDs don't boot with IDE cable in. A same friend told me that I might have a Trojan virus that cause reboots.

From your symptoms, I am almost completely certain that you have some kind of virus on your computer. Precisely, I think that is a virus from category of Downloader or Trojan. Something like FunLove. Its job is to gain access to the content of your hard drive to his owner. That is the common problem for all Torrent users. I had to reinstall my computer few times because of torrent using and virus problems. However, at last I found out an effective cure for that. That cure is combination of AVG free and Seagate personal firewall. First, use AVG from your Safe mode to clean your computer. After that, install Seagate and I think that will solve your problem.
