Got Web proxy error

I’ve been using proxy server in order to hide my IP address. I haven’t been doing anything illegal, I just didn’t want certain persons to see it on a forum I was attending. I apparently messed something up since whenever I want to connect on the Net there is some web proxy error message. How to solve this? Thanks for your help.

You shouldn’t have done that. Proxy servers should be used for other purposes, not hiding your IP. If you wanted to hide it, you could have used one of the programs for such an action. I don’t know what kind of message you get and what you have done but I think that you should ask someone who knows something about PCs to come and see what the problem is. Maybe you’ve messed up some internet settings and now you don’t know who to set it to default. I was once driven crazy by my PC who didn’t want to return to normal after I installed software for changing themes in XP. I almost blew up everything so I had to reach out for the restore point solution.
