My PC has become very slow recently and after I have checked the hardware I concluded that this could be caused by the operative system and the fact that I never defragmented it on a regular basis. I plan to change that and start defragmenting my HDD regularly. Can you recommend me some good defragmenting freeware? I don’t think I can afford to purchase software at the moment.

First of all, I’d like to advise you to try defragmenting tool which is integrated into your operative system. It may not be the best, but it can surely help you avoid those problems until you find some software which suits you. And yes, it is also free! But if you want good freeware defragmenting program I would warmheartedly recommend you Defraggler. According to certain reviews I have read, this is a powerful defragmenting program which is a way better from that Windows defragmenting tool which I have suggested you. Since it is freeware you can download it and try it. If you don’t like it, at least you won’t be sorry about the money you have spent.
