Hello! I have a question regarding the FreeBSD platform and since I’m considering the idea of installing it to my new PC, I’d like to hear your opinion about this operative system. Do you think that it is reliable enough and that it is worth using? What can you tell me about data loss? I’m afraid to use it only because I don’t know how safe it is in handling and remembering data.

Oh, you don’t have to worry at all. This platform has been developed by Berkeley University of California and I think that it is pretty reliable. It is being constantly developed and updated. It is safe regarding potential data loss and you should only check out whether this platform is compatible with your hardware. I really see no reason why it would be unstable and prone to data loss. It is a UNIX based operative system and since UNIX has existed for quite a long, I’m sure that they have solved such issues. So, don’t hesitate and if you have any questions ask the tech support on the official website.
