Hello. I have heard that Free BSD is the most portable operating system on this planet and that you can even install it on the toaster. That’s more or less important now, I am curious about 3D performance with nvidia cards over this free to use operating system. Is it really true that 3D mark can actually run on Free BSD by using wine API? Thanks in advance,

Hello. Yes it is true. Not only 3D mark, but some OpenGL based games as well. There are various blogs based on this topic, and I saw few pictures regarding PC mark final test result by the help of Wine emulation. This sounds really cool, but believe me, managing one free BSD system to work without any problem is pretty much hard job to do. It is a stress procedure. At least it was for me, so I reverted back to Windows extremely fast.
