| I do not think that you should play with any more updates. There are other possible reasons that could cause your problem with SonyNec drive. You may have error in the process of downloading. Your update file might be damaged. You could try to download it one more time and than try to open it again. Second, you might not have a proper version of operating system installed on your PC. Your version of update could be for some other version of Windows. In that case, you have to find and download a proper version for your version of Windows. Third reason for your problem could be that your updates need some other service pack. If that is your problem, you need to find out what are those things, download and install them first. Personally, I do not think that your problem with SonyNec have anything with that update. Your DVD head is probably near the end of its lifetime and you should think about changing your DVDRW. |
