| There are two USB's protocol versions: USB 1.1 and USB 2.0. If you bought your computer a month ago and your EpsonCX5000 yesterday, I am sure that they support USB 2.0 standard. However, those two standards are compatible. USB 1.1 devices would work on USB 2.0 ports and USB 2.0 devices would work on USB 1.1 ports. Therefore, something else is wrong about your EpsonCX5000. First, try to reinstall your Lexmark 2400 driver one more time. Be sure not to connect your EpsonCX5000 before installation program told you to do that. If that won't help, check EpsonCX5000 at some other computer and see what will happen. If it works there then the problem is in your machine. Some printers won't work with some computers if they are plugged on the cable, which is more then 180cm long. Other printers won't work if you plug them on front USB's. About cartridges, they probably stayed a little more in some warehouse and they are bad now. |
