Dual Core PC too fast to run game

I have computer with Athlon x64 dual core processor and in certain games cinematic and dialogs are too fast to be understandable. These games run perfectly fine on some older and slower computers. Is this a problem with too powerful computer for older games or there is some other explanation?

Usually, this problem is caused by dual core processors and its architecture because older games are not meant to be played with such processors. You should visit AMD web site and download driver for CPU (yes, there is a driver for CPU these days) and install it. After this find Optimizer, on their web site also and install it. After this your games should work fine.
