| I am wondering this, because I know that windows 98 runs well on slower machines and there is also some tweak needed if you have more than 256 ram on it. People say it often likes to crash with larger amount of ram, until you set up something from the device manager. So, are there any known problem issues with USB 2.0 Flash drives in windows 98? Does 98 supports them anyway? |

| Yes, it does. There is Unofficial service pack 1 for Windows 98. Some brave enthusiast made it, because of his passion for old and fast system. It fixes all minor bugs and lacks, including some things for USB 2.0. No matter that, flash drives can work nice without it under Win98, I think. But youll need to install additional drivers for particular USB 2.0 device, which comes together with device, probably on a CD. Also, there is always some USB 2.0 driver for Windows 98 on a motherboard CD. |
