Hello! I have a problem with my keyboard and mouse. I have USB keyboard and mouse and I am running Windows XP Professional operating system (service pack 2 is installed). But, since this morning it seems that my keyboard is disabled, because it is not recognized at all and you know what troubles that makes.

Hello! I assume that your keyboard is USB 2.0 port device. So, I assume that maybe happened to its connection cable. Maybe cable needs replacement. Also, check if your USB port is working one. Also, could be that your keyboard became broken. You really need to check all of this if you want to find cause of problem.
