I’ve just bought a new digital camera and they show me how to connect it with a PC in the store and how to transfer files, but when I got back home and tried to do the same thing, I realized that my PC wouldn’t recognize the camera. Do you have any idea what the problem could be and how to solve it?

If the camera was tested in the store where you bought it and it worked properly there, the only thing that occurs to me is that you have not installed the drivers properly. So, as the first step, reinstall the drivers and try again. It’s necessary to install all the necessary drivers, especially if you use an older version of the operative system. Another thing that should be checked is whether you have connected the camera and PC properly. I’ve had a problem with my multi-media player and PC, because the device couldn’t be recognized despite the fact that my PC had 2.0 USB protocol and they were compatible. In the end I had to buy a card reader in order to copy and delete the content.
