I got the full DVD Box (I never saw that so far, I must admit) and there are two cables inside. The IDE data cable, I could use it like the spare one because I already got two inside, and the other one for audio transfer I suppose. I know that I dont have audio cable for my old CD RW writer, and It played every single audio CD I have inserted so far. Is this tiny little cable important for the drive anyway? Thanks.
When the time of windows 98 has passed and when the time of Windows XP came, there are so many things that suffered a lot of changes. Including the data transfer and the way on which software is communicating with the hardware. Audio cable is important if you want to listen your audio or DVD audio disc on the Windows 98. Xp doesnt need audio cable. All data including Audio or DVD audio data flows, trough the flat data cable. And it is enough for XP to perform the sound operations.
