I need to create a new internet connection and I am not sure how to do it. I am using the same dial up connections for ages, but now I want to switch to another provider, who is not so expensive. Since I have never done it myself, I would really use step by step explanation. Many thanks for your effort

Hey there.Setting up a brand new internet connection is not that hard, so you have no reason to be worried about it. You can probably find instructions on the providers webpage, on how to set the connection to use their service. Of course, you need to know the telephone number first, and to have username and password created. Then you go to control panel and choose network connections. Then you choose the make new connection option, choose create ma connection manually. You will be asked to enter that telephone number, as well as username and password.Than you will just need to find the option wait for dial tone before dialing, somewhere under modem settings, and turn it off.
