Hello. I'm using Open Office here at work, and I have a .wps file that I need opened. However, lacking MS Word, I can't seem to open it at all. Is there any way to convert this into the standard .doc or .rtf format? AFAIK, the contents of the file is text-only, no fancy stuff. Would changing the file's extension work, perhaps?

I wouldn’t bother with renaming the file's extension, this rarely works. I'm not sure if all versions of Word can handle this .wps format anyway, it's actually created by MS Works. You'll need to download a small converter utility, there's one available at Microsoft's support site, just search for "Works Converter to Word" or something like that.
