Hello, all. I'm trying to install Win XP from CD onto a formatted hard disk, but I can't seem to do it. I keep getting the error that goes something like this "No system or system error, insert boot disc and press any key". I only installed XP once before, but I don't remember having this kind of problem. What do I do now? Also, could this be happening because the installation CD is a burned copy of the original? Thanks for any assistance…

I don’t see why it would have anything to do with the fact that you burned the CD. Most likely you haven't set up the boot sequence right, so the machine is trying to boot from the HD (which is now empty). You need to enter the BIOS and find the boot sequence settings. When you do, set them to CD-ROM first, and HD and floppy next. Let us know if that helps.
