Can't get external drive to detect on Vista

Hello. I didn't knew that Vista is so stupid. So silent. I have the same enclosure and HDD brand all together but it seems that's just not enough for PC to work properly. Vista can see the drive but disconnects immediately right after initialization. XP has no trouble at all seeing it. Seagate with FAT32 partitions, if that does have some importance. Thanks in advance.

I don't want to speak anything about Vista right now, let's focus on problem. It is possible that Vista don't like older file systems, in fact it is quite possible, but there is also one more fact that you are dealing with some kind of malware perhaps? Malware that residents on the external drive, that could be the cause for this, too. There is nothing else that you can do but to replace FAT32 with NTFS.
