Hey there. I have this AVG installed for few years, and I am having problems with my viruses every now and then. So, I have started to wonder if antivirus programs can really help with viruses, or they can’t? Or am I just doing something wrong? Should I use some other application too? Many thanks for your help, I will appreciate it.

Well, of course it can help with viruses. Why would people use them if it wasn’t so? It all depends on what antivirus software you use, how often you update it, and etc. I use AVG too, free edition, but the latest one. While I have heard many negative critics of the previous editions, for this one, I have heard only the best things. So…if you are using the older version, I think you should update it…and if you are using a newer one..well, you are behaving more risky than me, so think about buying some more secure software - Kaspersky, for example. All the best
