Actually, I have few solutions for you and I hope that some of them will work. First try to uninstall drivers for cd-rw; and, after that, install it again. You can, also, try to boot your installation cd and if you are able to do that, then with your cd-rw everything is ok and you should change cds; ad if it cant, then is wrong something with your cd-rw.
Maybe, you should consider cleaning of your lens in cd-rw. If that doesnt help, take a professional!
