Hello. I have heard that external PCI modems are immune to thunder and lightning. This also stands for the broadband DSL routers I believe. These are fitting into external device category, am I right? Well, it seems like my router has died after the creepy storm last night. I just can't get the status led to blink with green light when active. Error 404 inside each browser. Is there any way to check this out for good? Thanks in advance.

In such situations like yours was, where the hard storm is making damage, no warranty is valid anymore. If you can't make router to work after hardware reset (tried that?) than I believe that you are going to obtain the new one. Talk with your ISP technical support, maybe they'll help you out more.
