I have a dual monitor problem. My motherboard could not properly see my new ATI Radeon series video card so I downloaded the latest updated driver from the Internet. However, when I try to install downloaded file I get an error message and now my computer restarts from time to time. I have two monitors attached to my computer and they worked fine until now. Now my Dual monitor option will not work.

I do not think that your video card is damaged. I think that you probably have a software problem. There are several possible reasons that might cause your problem. The simplest one would be an error in the process of downloading. In that case, your ATI Radeon video driver update file might be damaged. To check that, you should try to download it once more and than try to reinstall it. You may also have a wrong version of driver for your operating system. Your version of drivers could be for some other operating system like Windows Vista and you may have a XP. In that case, you have to find and download the proper version for your operating system. Last reason for your problem could be that your driver update may need some service pack or add-ons. If that is the problem, download and install them first. If nothing helps, then complete reinstall certainly will.
