I have a computer with Windows XP for last two years and everything worked fine. However, since yesterday, I have a problem. My Windows XP will not boot. A friend told me that I probably have a problem with chipset drivers. Is there a way for installing chipset drivers out of Windows XP?
If you want to install the chipset drivers out of Windows, you can do that on two ways. First, you should try to install those from Safe mode of your Windows XP. You can try to access Safe mode by pressing F8 on computer boot. If that fails, there is one other way to do that. You should first start Windows XP installation for Windows install disk. When installation asks you do you want to repair your existing installation or install a new copy of Windows XP, choose repair option. When installation procedure finishes repairing of your existing Windows XP installation then you will probably be able to start your computer. When you enter your Windows XP then normally proceed with the chipset installation.
