I tried to reinstall Win XP ( three times) but I got the Blue Screen of Death Stop Code: 0x00000024 and "partmgr.sys". I think that the blue screen appeared at the exact same place during the installation all three times. My computer is a "Gateway" Model 700XL
CPU is Intel P4, MOBO E210882 and I have 512MB PC800 RAM. What’s wrong with my machine?

Have you checked your HD for errors? It may be that something’s gone wrong when you formatted the drive before the reinstallation. Which program have you used? You should probably try reformatting again wiping it all out and repartitioning it too. If it doesn’t help, you probably have some bad clusters on your HD and the only way to fix this is by getting a new one unfortunately. I hope that’s not the case and that reformatting will make it right.
