Awful system performance after AV installation

I have installed Norton Internet Security suite along withy Norton Antivirus. After that, computer performance is awful. Everything is extremely slow and I need lot of time just to open application. Some applications that use a lot of resources, like Photoshop, are almost unusable. Can you tell me what the problem here is?

The problem here is in Norton Antivirus. It is antivirus that uses more resources that any other antivirus program. If you do not have high and machine and resources to waste on antivirus then you should uninstall it and use some decent antivirus program that is not so resource hungry like Norton Antivirus. When you uninstall it you will see that computer performance is going to be back in normal.
