Audio controller on old AC97 not working?

Hello! There is a following problem. My computer is AMD sempron 1300+. It is old more than five years. Yesterday I saw that audio controller on old AC97 not working? It means that I can’t hear any sound on my speakers. But when I want to use headphones it works. Do you know what to do? Thanks for your advice.

Hi! You have a problem with audio controller on old AC97. Well, how I see, it works with the headphones. You can try to use headphones until you buy new device. That is my recommendation. The sound card is not expensive, but you need to check is it possible to be added to your mobo.
