Hi there. I am about to add one more hard drive that has sata interface. I have two IDE ports, one floppy slot and two sata ports. And that’s quite nice if you ask me. I don’t want to use this SATA drive as new primary drive, but just as more additional reserved space for multimedia. Is there something important on what I should pay attention?

If you are only adding the drive as a big secondary partition, than nothing spectacular isn't required from you to do. Just make sure that you have service pack 2 installed on the system and you will be spared of installing additional sata drivers which is quite bored procedure. Just connect the hardware, add the drive from the system if necessary and format as usual.
